Ciao Bella...not just a fabulously romantic phrase

Parched_path Mind, body and soul...parched!  That's exactly what I feel as a busy girl caught in the whirlwind of life at times.   And as blessings would have it, I was feeling this way when I stumbled head-long into the oh-so-charming, Ciao Bella bath & body shop.

To be honest, I was surfing around the internet mindlessly.   You know the feeling..."I have so much to get done today but I am blocking that out while I surf!  At least until the kids run into the office."

When I stumbled into the website I knew immediately that it was something entirely special!   It was a moment of pure "Ahhhhhhhh!"   Which is exactly the way I feel when I walk into a spa for a warm stone massage and they are playing that soft earthy music...and it smells like lavender and there is not a care in the world that could rip me away from my white terry-cloth robe!

So, being the girlie-girl that I am, I started to window shop through the site.   It was such a treat that afterward I swear my blood pressure was lowered by at least 30 points.   If you know much about me, you know I have this belief that if you think something or someone is wonderful, you tell them right away!  Don't wait.  You just never know if by chance, they've never heard it before or maybe they need to hear it now.   So I sent a little email over to Ciao Bella telling the owner just what I thought about her site.

I was pleasantly surprised by the kind return email that came from the owner, Ms. Laura.   She's fantastic!  I instantly felt like I'd made a precious friend in California!  Soon emails were flying back and forth, and I told her how much I love sugar-scrubs...and then Ms. Laura did the most amazing thing.   She sent me a whole package of sweet samples.   Can you imagine?   Oh the pure pleasure of it all! Carefully packaged and smelling so delightful that I nearly burst with JOY!   She knew exactly what I would love.    And I have tried it all!

TrioskinharmonyFirst, she gave me the fabulous facial trio...made by a company called Skin Harmony.    She included the oh so scrumptious facial cleanser, toner and scrub.

What I loved about the cleanser and toner was the complete lack of acidity to it.  It was cool and refreshing, which left me feeling squeeky clean!  But I gotta tell ya, it was the scrub that surprised me the most.   You see, I am one of those women, who in my teen years, used the old Apricot Scrub, remember that....(oh I know, very rough and harsh - not at all kind to my skin).   So when I read the label, I was MORE THAN skeptical.   But babycakes, it rocked! The scrub has the softest little bitty natural beads that almost feel like they will melt away as you work with it on your skin!  Not unkind at all!  (Whew!)

I then smoothed on her buttery Vanilla body lotion.   It was silky soft and had a subtle scent, which is rather unique in our heavily perfumed society.  Nothing about the lotion was over-powering or irritating and I couldn't help but think..."Wow, this is really yummy for my skin."   I love lotion.  Love it.  And the bonus, it reminds me of summer-time in the sun.

Tropical_mango_big But honey, let me tell you about my favorite item of all!   Her Tropical Mango Body Sugar Scrub.   Now, if you haven't used a sugar scrub before, perhaps you're thinking its some kind of grainy sticky substance.  How wrong you'd be my darlings!
It is one of the most amazing products I've ever used in my life. Its rich with oils...and the grains are very fine...you don't even feel them when you use the product.   And the scent, well let me put it this way, when I got out of the shower I asked my hunky hubby to feel my skin...I was, of course, grinning when I asked him.

    He replied, "
Oh my word, you're so soft!  What is that?"
When I told him, he said,
"Wow, you feel great and you smell like a tropical vacation!"

Let me tell ya...I
adore this man of mine and nothing makes me feel happier than to make him wanna hug on me, touch my skin and feel the rich fullness of romantic passion!   This stuff made the embers glow! Who doesn't love that?

Combined, every spa treasure she so graciously sent to me, gave me theMain20 feeling of a Pampered Princess!   Truly.   I received a spa treatment in her sweet gift to me and I can not tell Ms. Laura thank you enough. Ciao Bella is one of my new favorite spots on the internet...and Laura is definitely someone you'll want to know.    In fact, you may want to rush right over darlings, because Laura just gave us all a treat!
